Field Work Study

Field Work Study (KKL) is an important part of the curriculum of the S1 Urban and Regional Planning (URP) Study Programme, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Brawijaya. This programme aims to provide students with global insights into sustainable planning practices in developed and developing countries. Through KKL, students not only gain academic experience but also understand first-hand the implementation of urban development and management strategies that can be an inspiration in the context of planning in Indonesia.
Since its introduction, PWK FT-UB students have had the opportunity to take part in KKL to various countries, including Japan and Singapore, by collaborating with renowned universities such as Kyoto University, Miyazaki University and National University of Singapore (NUS).

Singapore MPA 2019: Comparative Study and Short Course at National University of Singapore (NUS)

Field Work Course in Ayabe City with National University of Singapore (NUS)

The MPA took place from 14-17 August 2019 and focused on comparative studies and short lectures at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Students attended lectures on “Transportation Development in Singapore”visited civil and environmental engineering laboratories, and explored Singapore's transport and urban planning systems.

Japan MPA 2019: Workshop on Rural Planning with Kyoto University

Field Work Course in Ayabe City with Kyoto University (2019)

This MPA took place on 26 July - 2 August 2019 with the main agenda of Workshop on Rural Planning in Ayabe City with Kyoto University. The series of activities included a visit to Rustono Tempe, campus visit to Sustainable Rural Development Lab. and Urban Management Lab. at Kyoto University, as well as City Tour and Cultural Day to understand local culture.

Since its introduction, students have participated in various Field Work Programmes in various countries, including Kyoto University, Miyazaki University, and the National University of Singapore.
