3 in 1 Program

The practice of spatial planning in Indonesia must be able to anticipate several things related to pandemics such as Covid 19 both on a regional and local scale. The Conid 19 pandemic teaches us that public space in Indonesia is lacking which has led to the concentration of public facilities and transportation such as public transportation facilities, shopping centers and health facilities. Ideally, the detailed spatial plan should be able to provide recommendations on where public facilities are placed so that they can accommodate the needs of the community. In terms of infrastructure, it is also expected that there will be an increase in improvements, especially in the sanitation and hygiene sector to improve environmental hygiene. With health protocols attached to the lifestyle of the community, it is hoped that the planning of public spaces will be more responsive to health issues.

This pandemic situation forces the government and spatial planning actors to immediately restore the economy and reduce social inequality. In the spatial perspective, this economic recovery needs spatial interventions that are inseparable from the provision of infrastructure, public transportation, logistics mobilization, provision of public service units and land policies and spatial control. In addition, innovations in economic practices and spatial policies are also needed. This webinar will discuss all efforts that can be made by the government, economic actors and spatial planning in identifying the impact of the pandemic and efforts to restore the situation.
